The town of Mountainair, New Mexico is a quaint rural town located near the magnificent Gallinas and Manzano mountains, located approximately 1 ½ hours from Albuquerque and 30 minutes from Belen slightly farther from Los Lunas. Mountainair is has long maintained its traditional western values and its Spanish heritage including the National Parks Service's Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument, the historic Salt Missions Trail as well as historic Abo, Quarai, and Gran Quivira monuments. Experience the history of the indigenous Pueblo peoples, Conquistadors, and missionaries built by the original Pueblos, first Churches built over 350 years ago at New Mexico's start.
