The quaint historic city of Rockwood Tennessee is located on the eastern escarpment of the Cumberland Plateau, just west of Knoxville and north of Chattanooga Tennessee. Rockwood’s southern boundary is probably it’s most famous, the Tennessee River and Watts Bar Lake. Watts Bar Lake is one of the least inhabited lakes in the Tennessee Valley System.
The Rockwood and Watts Bar Lake area are famous for some of the best fishing in the south as well as canoeing, jet skiing, hunting and hiking beautiful mountain trails. The area is also one of Tennessee’s most popular second home, vacation home and places to retire in a state with no personal income taxes and a cost of living almost 22% below the national average.
Throughout central Tennessee’s Grand Vista Bay, the community has set aside an abundance of preserved green space in the twelve hundred acres of rolling forested hills and seven miles of shoreline along pristine Watts Bar Lake. ° ° °
