Iuka, Mississippi is often referred to as "Gateway to Mississippi”. The city is located in Tishomingo County in the extreme northeastern corner of Mississippi just miles from the Tennessee and Alabama state lines. Iuka was named after a Chickasaw Indian Chief Iuka who camped near the Mineral Springs to partake of the medicinal waters.
