It’s all about the mountain at Elk Creek, a luxurious private estate community with long-range mountain views

The Real Estate Home Guide, the leading internet luxury real estate portal, is pleased to announce its marketing association with Elk Creek Mountain at Todd. This 284 acre private, gated mountain community is situated in historic Todd, between Boone and Blowing Rock with remarkable long views from elevations between 3,000 and 4,600 feet. Elk Creek features estates ranging from 2 to 10 acres and a preserved setting including waterfalls, green space and a private fishing pond.

Elk Creek Mountain is managed by developer Mark Harrill, artist Joe Miller, entrepreneur Kenneth Wilcox and CPA Larry Hughes who have lived most of their lives in the North Carolina High County and are devoted to protecting the heritage and character of the mountains while creating luxurious and rustic developments that enhance the qualify everyone’s lives.

“Each precious piece of land in the High Country has its own unique characteristics and personality, which should be preserved, respected and enhanced,” said developer and environmentalist Mark Harrill. “Too many others come into these mountains to exploit and destroy its natural beauty. I consider it my duty and mission to preserve as much of this land as possible, while allowing others to enjoy it in an undisruptive way.”

The unique heritage of this community has been preserved and includes a chimney from an 1800’s homestead which has been converted into a community fireplace and grill in the picnic pavilion area. The neighborhood also features walking trails for residents and their guests to explore the remarkable natural surroundings. Homeowners can use their own custom builder, adhering to the architectural, community and natural resource covenants designed to preserve the value and appeal of each Elk Creek property.

“This development is unique because you are not just able to place sites at the foot of the mountain or coming up the mountain. Some of the sites are literally on top of the mountain with every view spectacular,” said developer Larry Hughes. “This development is not for the masses, but for those select individuals or families that truly want to escape and get away from it all. We are creating refuges that will give homeowners total privacy and the ability to enjoy their property and its innate beauty.”

Elk Creek Mountain at Todd is located just north of Boone and Blowing Rock, off of Highway 194 near West Jefferson, within easy reach of both Charlotte and Winston-Salem from 1-40 and I-77.
