South Texas Bluegreen Communities Put their Heart into Raising Money for the American Heart Association
WIMBERLY, TX - 17 March 2008 - Bluegreen Communities, a division of Bluegreen Corporation (NYSE:BXG), has raised money for the American Heart Association during its February American Heart Month Sales Event. The developer of acreage home sites in residential communities for custom homes donated $500 for every home site purchased during the week long sales event. “We’re excited about being able to leverage the success that we are having to help fight against cardiovascular disease, our nation’s No. 1 killer and costliest disease,” said Jack Dean, Regional Vice President for Bluegreen Communities. “We sold 18 home sites across our five South Texas communities this week. Together with our new property owners, we were able to raise a total of $10,000 for the American Heart Association” Money was raised from the following Bluegreen Communities: Vintage Oaks at the Vineyard (www.vintageoakstexas.com), Havenwood at Hunter’s Crossing (www.havenwoodtexas.com), Mystic Shores (www.mysticshores.com), Saddle Creek Forest (www.saddlecreekforest.com), and King Oaks (www.kingoaks.com) which offer one to ten acre home sites available in South Texas including the Hill Country and the Houston area. Customers matching donations made by Bluegreen Communities were eligible for additional incentives offered by the community in which they purchased. Other donations to the American Heart Association are encouraged through www.americanheart.org.
