River Hall: Ft. Myers, Florida

EAST LEE COUNTY COUNCIL PRESENTS THE WILLIAM B. DAVIS BEAUTIFICATION AWARD TO RIVER HALL

FORT MYERS, Fla. – (July 1) – River Hall, a premier master-planned community in the Fort Myers area being developed by LandMar Group, LLC, was presented the William B. Davis Award by the East Lee County Council (ELCC) for its contribution to the beautification of Palm Beach Boulevard. The dedication and plaque ceremony took place on Monday, June 30th at the River Hall Welcome House.

“At River Hall, we took great strides to incorporate the character of the area into our main entrance,” said Grady Miars, regional manager, LandMar Group. “We transplanted native oak trees from the property to the parkway and constructed our Welcome House Information Center in a low country architectural style. We embraced the Old Florida rural concept, from the flora all the way to the materials used to line the streets.”

The ELCC was founded in 2000 by the late William B. Davis, a passionate advocate who spent countless hours lobbying state and county representatives in order to improve the quality of life in East Lee County. The Council is composed of representatives from 18 civic associations located along the Greater Palm Beach Boulevard Corridor. Created with the objective of combining the efforts and interests of those associations, the ELCC works to protect and improve area livability, encourage beautification, increase property values, and otherwise provide for the well being of area residents.

“River Hall continues a tradition by previous developers in the area, with quality homes in a country setting surrounded by natural amenities,” said Douglas Vaught, ELCC Vice President, and Past President. “With a community plan in place to guide development, the East Lee County Council has ensured the future of the Palm Beach Boulevard corridor. We are proud to have River Hall as a member and neighbor.”

Construction of the master-planned community began in 2004 and the developer took steps to ensure the entryway compliments the surrounding landscape. A signature bell tower, as depicted in the community’s logo, is constructed across the street from the River Hall Welcome House. The impressive structure stands 42 feet tall at the community’s entryway, next to a future fire station. Other amenities not visible from State Road 80 include an 18-hole Davis Love III golf course and short course, a new 8,000 square foot Golf Clubhouse with full service bar and restaurant and a 14,000 square foot Town Hall Amenity Center with lagoon style pool, a Kids’ Wing, fitness center and an onsite lifestyle director to plan community activities.

River Hall is a master planned community in an historic delta area of land near the Caloosahatchee River offering homes from the high $100s and homesites from the $90s. More than half of its 1,500 acres is dedicated to lakes, open spaces and preserves. Located off Palm Beach Blvd. (SR 80), River Hall offers easy access to I-75 and is just 20 minutes from downtown Fort Myers.
